Days Longer, But By How Much?
We northerners all know that the further north you go, the shorter the days are in the Winter. After December 21, the days start getting longer. But how much longer are the days “down South?”
Yesterday and today, the day here in Mission, TX, was 1 hour and 1 minute longer than in Cedar Rapids, IA. That’s pretty significant! We had more than an hour “daytime” than had we been home in CR.
And today’s day in Cedar Rapids is 7 minutes longer than in Lime Springs!
If you want to check things like this, you can do it at wunderground.com. It’s not clear to me why it is labeled “Lime Springs Elementary School” as the weather data shown is from the airport in Preston.
