The first “Wonder of Lime Springs” is the public library. It was started in 1950. In 1964, it moved to the Town Hall. Just a few years ago, the library expanded to serve the needs of the people who use the library.
Over the years, the collection of books totals 5,305; 60 magazines; 295 CDs; and 387 DVDs to be checked out. The library is proud of its Tier 3 accreditation.
This library has a photocopier, fax machine and lamination machine. It is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00-8:00, Wednesday and Friday from 2:00-5:00 and Saturday from 10:00-5:00.
Janet DeVries is the head librarian and she has worked hard to make this a modern, multi-used facility. Book discussions, story hour, movie time, game night, summer reading program, reading to daycare kids and classes keep this librarian and the library a valuable part of the Lime Springs Community.
It is a wonder of Lime Springs.
