Candace Peterson, Artist

Lime Springs Artist

I was surprised when I noticed that there was a Lime Springs artist at the at the Fredericksburg Art Show! Candace Peterson, lover of agates, was exhibiting right across the aisle from Pat.

She’s a lover of agates and offers bracelets decorated with polished agates and other attractive stones for people, not animals.

Fredericksburg Show Has Wide Variety

Pat and a few other exhibitors displayed their watercolor paintings. There were several offering beautiful creations from their woodworking shops. And there were photographs, which I always find interesting. One of the most popular exhibits was Ryon’s booth. He’s a luthier specializing in electric guitars. (A luthier is one who makes stringed instruments.) He had instruments in several stages of construction. People seemed to find the process quite interesting.

Pat’s Paintings at Connie Mohr Gallery

As a result of the show, Pat Williams’ paintings are now offered by the Connie Mohr Gallery at the Plum Creek Art Center in downtown Fredericksburg. It’s a nice little gallery which has only been open a few months. The art council plans to offer classes for adults and children, as well as their main offering of fine art for sale. This all came about because we had lunch with Myrna Laue Moore, formerly of Lime Springs, who lives in Fredericksburg. She told Pat about the art show and told the organizer about Pat. One thing led to another and there we were! Pat isn’t a “Lime Springs artist” nor a Fredericksburg artist. But wherever there are paintings, especially watercolor paintings, she’s interested!
