First Grade Through Zander’s Eyes
My sister, Harlene, and her grandson, Zander, 6 and in first grade, went for a walk near their homes in Mankato. Here’s the conversation:
Harlene: How’s school this year?
Zander: I don’t like it.
Harlene: Oh, that’s too bad. Why don’t you like it?
Zander: All they want you to do is learn, learn, LEARN!
