Bill Prochaska Remembered and Honored
You might remember Bill Prochaska as a high school basketball player from Protivin.
You might remember him because he was Iowa’s top HS basketball scorer in 1955.
You might remember him because he scored so highly in Janet Eaton’s mind that she married him!
And this weekend, Upper Iowa University in Fayette is remembering and honoring Bill! He graduated from UIU fifty years ago. He’s been association with that school for a good number of those years. His years of service and dedication are being recognized.
Prochaska Scholarship
Bill’s family is honoring him by making the lead gift to a scholarship fund. This will be announced at a ceremony honoring Bill at Saturday’s football game.
What an appropriate way to recognize contributions of an individual! Bill graduated from UIU, taught there, and served as Athletic Director. He and Janet continue to live right there in Fayette.
Not only that, he’s an all-around good guy! One likes to see good guys win!
