Believing that a picture is worth a thousand words, I’ll explain the process with pictures:
Cut this “ring” four places.
Each cut makes the cap
easier to remove.
Cautions
Put a tablet or cutting board or something under the cap when you cut it, just in case you cut clear through the cap. You don’t want to damage your counter or tabletop!
I there’s any chance of a youngster opening the bottle and getting a pill, consider carefully whether or not you really want to make this easy modification.
And, of course, you make this modification at your own risk! I’m not responsible.
Tip
When the pills with the modified cap are gone and you get a new bottle, just transfer the modified cap to the new bottle. That way you won’t have to modify caps every time you get a new bottle of pills.
