Thanksgiving Activities

By kaw / 9 years ago

First, Pat and I wish a great Thanksgiving to all our friends. We have much for which to be thankful, as we should be reminded each day when we get up, take a breath of fresh air, and look out the window at the sun shinning on the sand or snow.

Second, what are we doing? Not much, is the answer.

So far today, I’ve de-squealed the fan in the bathroom and washed the inside of the vent cover. That’s good.

Not-so-good is the fact that I believe I can not de-squeal the furnace fan motor. From what I read after googling the problem, I’m on track to replace the motor, rather than simply oil it. I’m still not buying into that, but it could be true. If it is bronze bearings squealing, a drop of oil should do wonders, right?

While I was outside, I dumped the holding tanks. That’s a twice/week chore.

And I “rescued” a fallen orange. Birds like them, too, and peck holes in them. Then they fall to the ground. Often, only a small portion of the orange is spoiled or damaged, leaving the rest edible. This one was one of the tastiest we’ve had this year.

Shortly, we’ll head over to the Goetsch household, where we’ve been invited to dine as part of the Bonair Bunch. If I remember to take my camera, photos will follow later today.

It’s a beautiful and very quiet day here today. That’s OK; we can use a down day once in awhile.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
