Meteorite hit NE Iowa a long time ago

But you don’t have to worry about it, as it happened about 470 million years ago.

facebook to the rescue

We have Kenneth Eiler to thank for this, as he posted it on facebook.

You can think what you want about facebook, but there are several Lime Springers who post more-or-less regularly on facebook. It’s a good way to stay somewhat connected with home-town folks who have scattered to the four corners of our country. And beyond. Trent, son of Claire and Louann Williams, for example, is currently teaching in Singapore.

I’ve been thinking of adding facebook-like capabilities to The Lime Springs Page. Might that be of interest to you? Let me know, please!

Isn’t it just amazing what you can learn on the Internet!
