When I was a kid, the goal was to have corn which was knee high by the fourth of July. Sometimes that was a stretch, as in holding a leaf up to make it to the knee.
Things have changed, especially for this year. This picture shows corn next to Jim & Sheryll Smith’s yard. There’s no need to stretch the leaves here to make it knee high!
I even took this picture three days early, on July 1!
Or is this the Field of Dreams?
