I’m sorry to report that Lime Springs lost another citizen and great volunteer today: Arnie DeRuiter.
Arnie operated the hardware store for several years, until it burned down as the grand finale to a Sweet Corn Day parade several years ago.
I remember Arnie as being always helpful, friendly, and involved—all traits he had in common with his late wife, Betty, who died just over one year ago.
Now when there is work to be done around town, there’ll be one less willing worker. The community will miss Arnie!
