Guns Provide a Safe Lunch!

Lunch with Guns

Not all readers of The Lime Springs Page are readers of Facebook, so I’ll republish an article I posted there this afternoon. It’s about guns so I’m expecting it to be an emotionally-charged article!

“The safest place to eat anywhere: Rudy’s BBQ in Pharr, TX!!!

Pat and I had lunch there today and were surrounded by about 25 of our closest friends—each one of them carrying at least one firearm!

There were U.S. Customs and Border Patrol guys. Some from the Sheriff’s Dept, others from the Border Patrol, and three pilots from one of the agencies. (They were the tall, thin, good-lookin’ ones.)

I spoke with a Border Patrol officer. He said it was a favorite spot for law enforcement officers. Their office was only a mile from Rudy’s.

Rudy’s is a chain with several locations in TX. As soon as you walk in, the red and white checkered oil cloth table coverings shout, “You’re in the right place!”

And so it was.”

As is often the case, there’s good news and there’s bad news. (That’s rather common when the subject is “guns,” right?)

The good news: We felt very safe as we ate our brisket and turkey sandwiches!

The bad news: The nearest Rudy’s establishment to Cedar Rapids is in Oklahoma City!
