Alaskan Cruise: Where to Start?

Entering Alaska

Here, we are entering Alaska, but not the first time on our Alaskan Cruise. But it’s the only picture I have which suggest that we are entering our largest state: Alaska.

We first entered when our plane from Denver landed in Anchorage. After a short night of sleep, we were off for an interesting first-day of sight seeing.

Pictures from Alaska

Today I loaded the hundreds of pictures onto my computer from my tablet. At least I can now deal with them in a familiar manner.

The pictures reflect the fact that we saw lots and lots of trees, water, and mountains. Animals, not so much, sorry to say.

As these posts continue, you’ll see that we were, for the most part, blessed with incredibly beautiful weather. Not every tour group can make that statement!

An Alaskan Cruise to Celebrate Wedding Anniversaries

This trip all started over a year ago when we visited our Workamping buddies, Kirk and Pam Wood, who now live near Tyler, Texas. They said they were thinking of an Alaskan cruise this year to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, which was actually last year, and wondered if we would be interested in going along.

Sure, we said. We could celebrate our 40th, which is next year. How about that: 90 years of marriage being celebrated!
