Death Notices; Belated

By kaw / 8 years ago

These deaths happened weeks ago, but if you’re not in the area or not well connected with Lime Springs, you still might not know of them. I figure it’s better to learn of them late than not learn of them at all, so here are two death notices.

Dick Koliha

One is the passing of Dick Koliha. He lived just north of the IA/MN border, on the blacktop headed to York. (When’s the last time you thought of York?) I remember Dick stopping at my parents home with some home-grown sweet corn or tomatoes or something from his garden. He was a great and caring citizen of our area.

George Frey

Few readers of The Lime Springs Page knew George Frey. His connection to Lime Springs was through his wife, Eileen.

Eileen was a classmate of mine at LSHS and the sister of Kenny Peter. And everyone knew Kenny, so now you know the connection!

Your sympathy to Dick’s relatives and to Eileen and her and George’s families.
