Life is full of choices.\u00a0 From the moment we wake up, we make thousands of choices.\u00a0 Three such choices are choosing how to act, choosing how to feel, and, in fact, choosing at all.\u00a0 These choices are the basic choices that we make every day.<\/p>\n
Every day, we make a choice on how to act.\u00a0 One important part of that is to choose to listen to ourselves.\u00a0 We give advice to other people over and over, but sometimes, we fail to follow that advice ourselves.\u00a0 For example, one article I wrote was about patience, and trying to have more of it.\u00a0 However, I still find myself without any patience for my siblings, and not even attempting to gain any, either.\u00a0 Every once in a while, it could be good to think about some of the advice that you\u2019ve given other people, and whether that applies to you.\u00a0 If it does, think about whether you\u2019ve followed that advice.<\/p>\n
Another choice we make is to choose how to feel.\u00a0 I once read a children\u2019s book in which one of the main characters was feeling happy.\u00a0 Others noticed and kept asking why he was so happy, to which he replied \u201cYou need a reason to be sad. You don\u2019t need a reason to be happy.\u201d\u00a0 If you\u2019re feeling down, make sure there\u2019s a reason for you to feel that way.\u00a0 If there\u2019s no logical reason that you should be feeling that way, try to change your mood.\u00a0 Listen to music, go on a bike ride, even just smiling is a way to lift your mood.\u00a0 If you do, you\u2019ll find that you are a lot more content.<\/p>\n
The last basic choice we make on a daily basis is to choose at all.\u00a0 Sometimes, when faced with a difficult decision, I choose not to decide at all.\u00a0 For instance, say I was invited to do something fun with friends, and I wasn\u2019t sure whether I wanted to go or not.\u00a0 Sometimes, I put off making a hard decision for a long time.\u00a0 If the time comes when they need to leave, and I still haven\u2019t confirmed if I\u2019m going to go, I\u2019ve essentially made my decision.\u00a0 I\u2019ve put off making a decision until the decision was made for me.<\/p>\n
We make choices every second of every minute of every day.\u00a0 We choose how to act, how to feel, and sometimes, we have to choose whether we even want to choose at all.\u00a0 With all the choices in our life, sometimes it\u2019s hard to know whether we\u2019re making the right ones or not.\u00a0 Just remember, listen to yourself, be happy, and choose to choose.\u00a0 See you next week!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
