two-millionth youngster a ride!<\/a><\/p>\nAbout four(?) years ago, we had a Young Eagles event in Cresco. I think we’re about due for another one there! I sure wish there had been such a program available when I was a kid!<\/p>\n
I’m not one of the pilots at these events. My usual job is that of “dispatcher.” I assign\u00a0riders to specific planes\/pilots and keeping a record of it. We have a pretty efficient\u00a0system but when there are about 100 kids and about that many parents, things can get a bit hectic.<\/p>\n
At the end of the day, however, the results are always the same: A good time was had by all!<\/p>\n
Chinese Lunch<\/h2>\n
Yesterday, we joined friends from Pat’s church for lunch at Ting’s Red Lantern. The meal was good and the company was good. It’s hard to beat that combination.<\/p>\n
Cars Washed<\/h2>\n
Today I washed the truck. I know how neat Jim (Smith) is and I didn’t want to show up at his place with a dirty truck! Now it looks like it might be raining Thursday as we drive to Lime Springs for Sweet Corn Days. Oh well, I tried so should get at least partial credit!<\/p>\n
It was so much fun washing the truck that I washed Pat’s car, too.<\/p>\n

Gym<\/h2>\n
I even went to the gym today. Then finished the day by going out to dinner with about a dozen others from our neighborhood. That’s an every-other Monday evening event and always a lot of fun.<\/p>\n
I didn’t mention it, but yes, I did get my nap in, too!<\/p>\n
