A Perfect Day, finally! Today was the sort of day we left Iowa to enjoy. And it is the nicest day since we've been here, a perfect day! It reached the mid- to high-80s.

Our friends from Port Aransas flew down to enjoy one of the famous tenderloins served at the Riverside Club, which is right on the Rio Grande River.

Here you can see Pat, me, and Mary on a deck overhanging the river. Over Mary's shoulder, you can see Chimney Park, one of the many dozen RV parks here in the Mission/McAllen area.

Jay and Mary have their own really-neat little airplane. It's 136 miles from their airport to the McAllen airport. It takes them all of about 55 minutes to make the trip!

We saw a couple of Border Patrol boats go past, plus a speedboat and a jetski. No swimmers!
