We’re all set to leave our spot in Mission, Texas, and head home to Cedar Rapids tomorrow morning. My goal is to get out of Texas tomorrow. That’ll put us almost half-way home!
If we miss that goal, I really hope we get past Ft. Worth! I think it would be a lot better driving through there on Sunday than on Monday morning! There is construction for miles there on I-35W. Once we get past that, the rest of the trip should be relatively easy.
We plan to return to this same spot next year; it’ll be our fifth year here. That follows seven years in Rockport, so we’ve spent the last 11 winters in Texas. We like Texas!
When the time of year comes, we get eager to begin the homeward bound trip.
And when November comes, we’re eager to get on the road and get back to South Texas.
