Wallace Ihns, 73, passed away yesterday in Grand Rapids, MN.

Wallace and his late wife, Edith, farmed on the “home place” SW of Lime Springs where their son Walter lives. Illness forced Wallace to a care center several months ago.
Wallace was the grandson of Ole Austin of York. And so am I. We each had 18 Austin cousins, whom we enjoyed greatly as kids. Three of the “Austin Cousins” generation have now passed away: Delbert Hoopman, and Wallace and his sister Gloria.
Visitation will be Monday, 4-7, at Lindstrom’s in Cresco and Tuesday one hour before the service at the church.
The funeral service will be at 2PM Tuesday, Oct. 4, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lime Springs.
