The funeral of Wallace Ihns, one of the 19 “Ausitn Cousins,” provided another opportunity for several of the cousins to get together.
Here are six of the 16 remaining cousins. From left to right, they are:
Tootie, proprietor of “Tooties” on the north edge of Spring Valley
Janice, who lives in Owatonna
Keith, Cedar Rapids
Tim, River Falls, WI
Bernie, Cherry Grove
Margie, Racine
The “headquarters” of the Austin family was York—just SW of Saetersdal Church, actually. All of the above spent at least some of their years near Lime Springs.
